Resources for Filers

A number of documents are available for use by those interested in participating in this program. The list of resources below is intended to help you learn more about XBRL in general, decide whether to participate in the voluntary program, and to prepare your filing for the program.

XBRL Awareness

-  Background information, training materials and online tutorials for XBRL in general are available from the XBRL International web site at http://www.xbrl.org/EducationAndTraining/.

Resources for Preparing Your Filing
 
-  The Canadian GAAP taxonomy, acknowledged by the XBRL International consortium and which must be used for the voluntary program, is available here.
-  Video from the two-day VFP training course at the January 2005 US members meeting, hosted by SAS Institute in North Carolina, may be found here.
-  A public discussion group on the topic of SEC XBRL filings is here. "This group is for discussion of technical issues related to creating XBRL instances and company extensions, including the tools to use and a general approach for creating both documents. The scope of discussion for this group is limited to the SEC Voluntary Filing Program."
